about

“Vitality” is the first full-length release by NeverWake. It collides rock and metal to create a new hard-hitting sound that bridges both genres and invites all listeners. Step into the first chapter of this ominous journey…

“As a group that seems to hit the sweet spot in metal and rock you’ll find a more tolerable Trivium and a great match to Bullet For My Valentine. You won’t even get watered down like Avenged Sevenfold here.

I’m going back to this album for a review and I’m glad to know that I still have a great time listening to these 12 killer songs. The first 3 bring metal and rock with blisters, and that’s a great thing. The music soars, the tempo is energetic and the vocals have intelligence. But it’s in “Fatal Remedy” that things start to showcase even more profound vocal talent, floating easily into my favorite song on the album, “Widowmaker”. This is a radio single in my opinion and I ease back in my broken love seat and meld into this masterpiece.

The tempo kicks back up a bit with a thrilling riff in “Unjustified” and I’m ready to mosh, sing, mosh, sing and repeat. “Twisted and Wicked” starts to give the album variety and showcases more bang for your buck. “Erased” slows down and here I am listening to a band that should be signed AND make the majority of the profist themselves. The album continues with some variety and finishes with “Buried So Deep” which sounds like a nod to Breaking Benjamin.

All in all, if you hate metal, you’re wrong. Just listen to Neverwake and you’ll know what I mean. If you hate rock, I repeat, listen to Neverwake and you’ll love it. If you want the sweet spot, like the way Reese’s gets peanut butter and chocolate right, you’ll love this album! The music hits just right, giving you a break from moshing so you can sing along and right back again. There’s nothing bad to say about this album. I turn the volume way up to a 10 on these bad boys!”
